Nothing is hidden on the website. So just book the right room, and you'll have a great stay in the heart of Manhattan.
We were there with our toddler, and that was the perfect stay with a view on the Empire and feeling home every evening thanks to the awesome fully equipped kitchen.
Staff is genuinely kind and helpful. What else should you ask for ?
This is by far the worst stay in NYC for us. We paid more for this stay that we have at the Hyatt in Chelsea, which we loved! For the steep price, it’s SO not worth it! We booked the most expensive room as the premier suite, it’s dirty, not updated, super tiny, and the front desk customer service is so rude! We’ve asked several questions to the front desk guy, who seems so put out each time & not helpful. Where is the rooftop? What is the sushi restaurant all about? Where is the nearest grocery? Each time the replies were not friendly and not helpful. Customer service is horrible!
We will never stay here again! Do not pay to stay here, it’s not what the pictures seem! If it was refundable, we would have left to find another hotel stay, the day we got here.
The website feels like a lie. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel and the rooms are of significantly lower quality than advertised.
This is not a 4-star hotel. The paint is chipping, the AC doesn’t work so we have the balcony door open. Which- ha! You call THAT a balcony, what a joke!! The decor is atrocious! The curtains need washed.
Stayed here and the room for the price was excellent! Had a separate 1 bedroom from the kitchen and the main area. Also a pretty spacious bathroom with good water pressure! This was centrally located about a 15 min walk to Rockefeller building. Would highly recommend the City Bikes to get around or walking versus driving if you can help it. Everything in our hotel was spacious and the front desk people were courteous. I would come back here.
I would give it 0 stars but I'm giving it 2 stars for a good central location and no bed bugs. Otherwise, what a miserable stay. It's a disgrace to call it a 4-star hotel - I've stayed at 3-star hotels that put this place to shame.
The room was tiny and grossly overpriced at over $350/night (plus a resort fee that was in tiny fine print). The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable and the pillows were tiny and mismatched. The walls were dirty and the paint was chipped everywhere. The walls were also paper thin - we could hear another couple having conversations in a room down the hall. The room was SO hot but the AC didn't work and the windows didn't open so we slept with the balcony door open. It perpetually smelled like weed despite us booking a nonsmoking room. We're lucky that neither of us have respiratory issues, but I can imagine it being a health hazard for guests with asthma or other breathing conditions. The bathroom was, thankfully, clean though pretty dingy, but the shower water temperature was impossible to control. The front desk staff, although generally friendly, were pretty unprofessional - one was vaping behind the desk and another guy was drinking a cocktail while checking in guests.
In summary, beware of the positive reviews online. We were mislead and would not recommend this place to anyone, especially at the obscene prices they're charging.
Expensive but good location & close to subway. Our room was near the lift so sleep was constantly interrupted. Room decor was unremarkable but super clean - thank you housekeeping. Reception staff had zero people skills. The best thing about this hotel is the Korean restaurant next door.
The biggest scam! There’s two buildings, one to lure you in and looks nice and the other one is where you actually get to stay and it looks and feels like a motel. The rooms and hallway were extremely tiny, the bed sheets had so many nasty stains, i had to call the front desk and ask them to change the sheets again and same goes for the bathroom towels. The location was very convenient so they get points for that but everything else was a literal scam. But the biggest scam of it all was the $30 per day “resort fee” they tell you about while you’re checking in!! We wouldn’t mind paying the resort fee if we got an ounce of a resort like feel. There’s not even a microwave in the room, when asked about their amenities we were told there’s a gym across the road collaborating with another hotel and we saw no pool in sight. We were also deceived by the few “good reviews” but trust me this is not a 4 start hotel
This is not a good hotel. My room smelt like smoke , and was furnished with extremely cheap furniture more suited to a kid’s room. Bed soft and uncomfortable. Feels like someone renovated apartments about 20 years ago and has not been upgraded since. I paid more than $500 for the room as it’s UN Week - was very disappointed.
The pluses are location. It was clean (except for the smoke smell which was awful ), and the staff were nice. The coffee was decent. I’d never go back.
The stay was nice for the cheap price compared to other hotels in the area. The room was clean and spacious. The only issue was the receptionist didn’t give us the “parking coupon” when we checked in so we had to pay x3 amount for the overnight parking. They could improve the customer service- other wise it’s a good.
